Volunteers Needed - 2023 Franklin County Tree Plantings

Want to make a difference this spring?

You can help restore wildlife habitat, stabilize streambanks and floodplains, and improve water quality in Franklin County by planting trees with Franklin County NRCD!


We have five tree-planting events planned for Spring 2023:


Manning Dairy Farm in St. Albans City -

Wednesday, April 12th, 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

Where: Use farm access path directly across from 500 Bushey Road, St. Albans (map)


Houghton Park in St. Albans City (Space limited) -

Tuesday, April 18th, 10:00 am - 2:00 pm

Where: S Elm St, St. Albans City, VT (map)


Missisquoi National Wildlife Refuge -

Thursday, April 20th, 9:00 am - 3:00 pm &

Saturday, April 22nd (Earth Day), 9:00 am - 3:00 pm

Where: Use access path across Monument Road from 774 Monument Road, Swanton (map)


Boneyard Farm in Cambridge -

Thursday, May 11th, 9:00 am - 3:00 pm

Where: 3064 Cambridge Rd, Cambridge, VT (map)


Please feel free to come for any portion of the days above. As many hands as possible and both children and adults are welcome!


What to Bring: Shovel, gloves, sunscreen, bug spray, water, lunch, and anything else you need to be comfortable for the day. Limited supplies will be provided by Franklin County NRCD
